Fate Velaj, the Albanian ambassador to Austria, during an interview for the 'Urban Forum' television channel, emphasized the strategic potential of rural areas.
The Albanian diplomat expressed that these areas could become attractive centers for alternative tourism and agrotourism, as an essential component of balanced territorial development and strengthening local economies.
"Urban Forum" is part of the Union of Austrian Municipalities, an important platform for the exchange of ideas on urban development and local policies in the European space.
During the conversation, Ambassador Velaj focused on urban developments in Albania, with particular emphasis on the sustainable transformation of small and medium-sized cities, as well as the dynamism of the Albanian capital, Tirana, in line with contemporary urbanism trends.
