But a 66-year-old man, although married, is accused of stalking a young girl for 4 years in a row. On several occasions he wrote her threatening messages that he would kill her if she started another relationship. For a long time, the man frequented the same places where the young woman stayed, for whom her mother remembers to the police that she got to know him after the family had suggested him to enter politics because he could find a good job. The young woman tells TCH that: "I knew the person in the offices of the youth forum of a Socialist party where he was one of the leaders. He promised me that with the conclusion of the election results, he would help me work as a director in an institution .
But the girl was not only not hired, but she broke up with her boyfriend and then received threatening messages and stalking. Under the family's suggestion that she was being cheated, the young woman changed her address and was employed elsewhere. Meanwhile, he told the police that due to his worries he was admitted to the hospital after he tried to commit suicide. The suspect was arrested for stalking and is currently under house arrest by court order. But the 66-year-old also gave his version to the police, recalling that he had requested a protection order and that he had a five-year relationship with the girl, at the end of which he called her to ask about her life.
Stalking is provided for in the Penal Code as an offense against morality and dignity. The General Prosecutor's Office declares that compared to the population density per 100,000 inhabitants, this crime is more likely to be committed in the cities of Korça and Fier.
