Fieri has been "at war" with the flames for 1 week, air intervention is expected

The fire continues for the seventh day in the Pishë-Poro forest massif in Darëzeze, where operational forces are working to bring them under control.

According to the chief of the fire service of the municipality of Fier, Zija Hyka, the most problematic fire this Monday morning remains Darëzeza.

Three fire engines are located near the fire, while this forest massif stretches along the coastline where seasonal bars also operate.

Air intervention by plane is expected after the request to the European civil defense mechanism, to which Greece immediately responded positively.
