The electoral campaigns for the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025 are the coldest, without enthusiasm, and where it seems as if people are sitting in chairs in the squares, as if they were in a movie theater.
There is no hope and motivation, no enthusiasm among supporters, especially those who expect change, as was the case in past campaigns. Citizens are tired of the big forces, but another factor is “a predictable outcome” of the elections.
This is what lawyer and analyst Kreshnik Spahiu said today,
"This campaign has many characteristics that set it apart from others. First, it is the coldest in 35 years. If we look at the others, there was enthusiasm, hope, laughter, fervor, with shouts and cheers, with high participation ," he said on the show '5 Questions from Babaramo' on Report TV.
And he further explains the other two influential factors: "I think there are several factors. The first is consumption. People are used to and tired of this phenomenon. Then politics itself, where politics has chosen the path of the virtual world, where they also deal with each other, they expose each other's faces. Third and most important, we have a predictable result in appearance. The most fervent part that expects change is missing. This was also noticed in the openings of the party campaigns ," analyzes Spahiu.
He even metaphorizes the party campaign with cinemas.
"If you look at the halls, everyone sits and listens in closed halls, applauds, without cheering or enthusiasm. They sit in chairs in the squares, as if they were in a movie theater. This is noticeable in both new and old parties," the lawyer comments.
