The Supreme Court rejected Berisha's request to go to Parliament, Gjokutaj:
Lawyer Genc Gjokutaj has spoken about the decision of the Supreme Court, which overturned the request of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha to go to Parliament.

The lawyer of the former prime minister Sali Berisha, Genc Gjokutaj, has emphasized that the SPAk rejected the request for a deviation.

"I would stop at the two moments that are the last so far of this issue. As you know, the Supreme Court spoke yesterday regarding the request we made to SPAK for Mr. Berisha, to participate in the sessions of the parliament, a request that SPAK has rejected with a deviation in the object that has nothing more and nothing less to do with an intelligent mistake of theirs when a member of parliament with a mandate equates it with a person as if he is going to an ordinary job", says Gjokutaj.

Lawyer Gjokutaj continues with the accusations while calling it a scandalous act

"And this alogism saga has continued until the Court of Appeal and yesterday at the Supreme Court. This is a scandalous action in all senses, both from a logical point of view and from a legal point of view, and this is closely related to the mandate of the deputy. The insurance measure of Mr. Berisha does not affect his representation in the Assembly and this is closely related to the mandate he enjoys as a member of the Assembly, as a deputy ", Gjokutaj emphasized.

The lawyer further emphasized that Berisha's case is often compared to Beler's, while adding that they have no connection.

"Often parallels are drawn with the Beleri case, we say, but this has nothing to do with the level of representation, nor with the beginning of the mandate, since he was not allowed to take the mandate at all. The constitution has certain cases when the mandate of a deputy ends" , said Gjokutaj.
