Lawyer Genc Gjokutaj has spoken about the decision of the Supreme Court, which overturned the request of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha to go to Parliament.

"And this alogism saga has continued until the Court of Appeal and yesterday at the Supreme Court. This is a scandalous action in all senses, both from a logical point of view and from a legal point of view, and this is closely related to the mandate of the deputy. The insurance measure of Mr. Berisha does not affect his representation in the Assembly and this is closely related to the mandate he enjoys as a member of the Assembly, as a deputy ", Gjokutaj emphasized.
The lawyer further emphasized that Berisha's case is often compared to Beler's, while adding that they have no connection.
"Often parallels are drawn with the Beleri case, we say, but this has nothing to do with the level of representation, nor with the beginning of the mandate, since he was not allowed to take the mandate at all. The constitution has certain cases when the mandate of a deputy ends" , said Gjokutaj.
