SPAK's crackdown on organized crime, Dumani: We seized 10 million euros in cryptocurrencies

SPAK Head Altin Dumani was this Wednesday, along with other heads of justice institutions, at the roundtable held by the Center for the Study of Democracy and Governance where the performance of Special Institutions in 2024 was analyzed. EU Ambassador Silvio Gonzato was also present.

Dumani said that in 2024 SPAK has managed to cooperate with foreign agencies. According to him, from this cooperation in 2024, 10 million euros in cryptocurrencies were seized. Dumani also said that for the first time SPAK has also investigated two criminal organizations.

"Albanian crime subjects greatly prefer cryptocurrency in their transactions. In 2024 we managed to seize a value of almost 10 million euros in cryptocurrencies, this was a team effort, a joint investigation with foreign law enforcement agencies, also for the first time SPAK has investigated two criminal organizations," said Dumani.
