New details are revealed regarding the armed robbery of the jeweler that happened the day before in Kamez.
Today, the owner of the store also spoke to the media. She said that there were 4 people and they took 50 thousand euros of gold.
She says that she tried to stop them, fighting with them. According to her, they robbed 1.5 kg of gold.
"It happened around 17:15, the first time something like this has happened to us. There were 4 of them, the BMW driver stayed in the car, the robbers entered the jeweler one after the other, wearing masks with gloves and all three dressed in black. The jeweler has two cameras outside and two inside, the police have the footage, they seized our DVR. I, NS, 59 years old, and my son's daughter-in-law ES, 31 years old, were here when the incident happened. The first thing the robber did was point the gun at us and said: Hands up, we killed you.
I didn't tell the police that he had a southern dialect, he only raised his voice so that he wouldn't be recognized, while the other two didn't speak at all and no name was mentioned between them. I did not understand any dialect from them. I fought with the armed robber, he pushed me and threw me to the ground, I also fought with the other two to stop them from stealing, but they pushed me. I surrendered, protected the son's daughter-in-law, whom I took to the back room. They entered freely and exited freely as we have no system to stop them from opening the door both from outside and inside. From a preliminary account that we have made, we find over 1.5 kg of stolen gold, rings, pendants, bracelets and earrings, some of which were specially customized to order, and cost about 50,000 damage. We are afraid that the perpetrators are not caught and this happens again. We have emptied the counter, we have no goods in the window", said the owner of the jewelry store.
The police have managed to seize the cameras where three armed and masked people are clearly seen getting out of the vehicle and entering the jewelry store.
The fourth person had the role of driver and the latter stayed in the vehicle until the three perpetrators left the business and then left in the "BMW" type vehicle.
In the meantime, the police are investigating and working with the analysis of other security cameras to see if this criminal group left towards Fushë-Kruë, or towards Durrës.
