Journalist Armand Shkullaku has spoken about the actions of Prime Minister Edi Rama, who has decided to appoint the 'opposition', bringing the latter's reaction to the Assembly.
Shkullaku said that we are in the conditions of a coup from above, where a political party, an individual comes to power with votes in a democratic manner and upon coming to power starts and changes laws, the constitution, takes control of powers to consolidate the power of himself, no longer running away.
According to the journalist, Albania is the only country in the world where the majority, i.e. the government, assigns the opposition, the logo, the seal, the commissioners, the observers, the campaign money, and that of the parliament is the last one.
Shkullaku also stopped at the action of the opposition, according to him, if the opposition deputies are in Parliament and do not find a way to represent the citizens who voted for them, then they should go home because they are not paid to speak nicely when Lindita Nikolla gives them the floor. .
"Here we are in the conditions of a coup d'état from above, when a political party, an individual comes to power with votes in a democratic way and upon coming to power starts and changes laws, the constitution, takes control of powers to consolidate the power of himself. So he no longer runs away from power. And we are in these conditions and this of the parliament is one aspect.
I don't know any other place where the majority, i.e. the government, assigns the opposition, the logo, the stamp, the commissioners, the observers, the campaign money, distributes it to them, gives it to them, doesn't give it to them, also assigns the leader with whom it should enter the elections, this belongs to the parliament. the very last one.
So if someone comes out who tells me an alternative, how can the opposition in the parliament have the right to have the co-chairman of the electoral reform as it has always had. So 43 deputies request participation in the electoral reform commission with those deputies appointed by the opposition.
How to take this thing in the conditions we are in today? We have the constitutional right to set up investigative commissions and this right is not granted. In order not to get into the draft laws, the speech, etc. In these conditions, me as a voter or all of us, we have not brought Salianj to the parliament as an individual, but we have given him a mandate to represent a certain number of our fellow citizens, that is, the 43 deputies who are represent half a million Albanians who have given mandates as representatives and not as individuals.
And if these people are there and cannot exercise the mandate for which we have delegated them and we pay them for this work, then I would tell Salianj and his friends to go because they are there for that work. If they cannot exercise their mandate, then they should go home or find a way to force the Assembly to exercise what is defined in the Constitution, the sovereignty of the people.
We can't do this because a single person said I don't want that thing to be done, you do whatever you want. The opposition must either produce any way to be able to deserve the salaries that the Albanian citizen gives them or run home. They did not mourn there to speak nicely when Lindita Nikolla gave the floor", said Shkullaku.
