The European Public Prosecutor has entered the game as regards the fight against corruption in our country and especially the abuse of EU funds. In May of this year, the European Parliament passed a resolution demanding that SPAK and the European Prosecutor cooperate to investigate the abuse of Brussels funds. Today, an agreement was signed between SPAK and this prosecutor's office, which consists in the cooperation between both parties regarding the fight against corruption and organized crime.
"Pamphlet" has said several times that several lawsuits have been submitted to SPAK by diplomatic headquarters, and there was also an investigation by OLAF about AZHBR, as there are suspicions that funds coming from the EU are being misused. Within the framework of the new pact, the parties will exchange information to go to the abusers.
" On June 29, the Head of the Special Prosecution, Mr. Altin Dumani signed a Work Agreement with the Head of the European Public Prosecutor's Office, Mrs. Laura Codruța Kövesi. The agreement consists in establishing bridges of cooperation in the financial investigation for the criminal acts of corruption of high public officials. The representatives of the two institutions also discussed the possibility of cooperation in the framework of increasing human capacities, mainly in the training that the experts of the European Public Prosecutor's Office can provide for the Financial Investigation Section in the Special Prosecutor's Office and the exchange of good experiences between European prosecutors. and special prosecutors in the investigation of misuse of public funds ", announces SPAK.
