The Murriz Tunnel, part of the Arbri road connecting Tirana to Dibra, was opened today for vehicle traffic.
The completion of the Arbri road and the opening of the Murriz Tunnel shortens the travel time from Tirana to Dibër by almost 3 hours if we compare it to the period when this segment was not open to vehicle traffic.
The Murriz Tunnel has a length of 3.78 kilometers and consists of two tubes, one for traffic and one for emergency.
While the Arber Road has a total length of 74 km, and will connect Tirana with Dibra, as well as with northern Macedonia, Greater Dibra, Tetovo and Skopje. The Arber Road becomes part of the Eighth Pan-European Corridor.
