Since taking office, 65 leadership moves have been made. New appointments in Tirana, Vlora, Korça, Lezha, Dibër and several other regions.
The Director General of the State Police, Ilir Proda Hita, is continuing the process of reforming and reorganizing police structures throughout the country. As part of this strategy, a series of new appointments were signed this Thursday in the main police stations, with the aim of increasing the efficiency, accountability and performance of the State Police.
Police sources indicate that since taking office, Hita has undertaken a total of 65 moves of leaders and chiefs at the national level, in what is considered one of the most extensive restructuring processes in recent years. Meanwhile, the changes have continued today.
One of the most important moves is the appointment of Feliks Hoda as head of the Vlora Police Station. Hoda comes from Police Station No. 4 in Tirana, where he held the position of chief and is considered one of the most experienced leaders in the law enforcement structures.
In his place at Police Station No. 4, Florent Sulçe has been appointed, who previously held the position of deputy chief at the same police station, ensuring continuity in the leadership of one of the most important police structures in the capital.
The recent changes affect a large number of police stations in the country. Bilal Selmanaj has been appointed head of the Dibra Police Station, Elton Shahini in Kruja, Sentiljan Ndreu in Laç, Arben Sulaj in Lezhë, Elvis Peza in Mirditë, Oltion Gjoni in Mat, Emiljan Pashaj in Korça, Ergys Gjoni in Bulqizë, Andi Deda in Shijak and Ervin Hasrama in charge of Police Station No. 1 in Tirana.
The moves are seen as part of a broader reform that aims to refresh the leadership of police structures and install new leaders in areas of particular importance for public order and security. Sources at the State Police indicate that the process is based on performance evaluation and the need to increase the effectiveness of local structures.
Since taking over as head of the State Police, Hita has signaled that the priority will be strengthening discipline, increasing results in the field and improving the management of police structures. The latest changes are considered another step in this direction, while the reorganization is expected to continue at other levels of police administration.
With 65 leadership changes in just a few months, the head of the Police is giving clear signals that he intends to leave his mark on reforming the institution, demanding more dynamism and responsibility at every level of the law enforcement structure.
