Journalist Edmond Guri spoke about the mafia act that happened yesterday in Greece, where one person was killed and another injured, both Albanians.
He has given more details about the incident, showing that this criminal group involved was known to Greek authorities years ago.
"This event of yesterday with the execution of the Albanian has returned once again the concern that the Greek authorities had years ago with mafia groups, when it was very difficult to identify or arrest the persons involved. Even yesterday's case was a typical mafia case where the victim was targeted and at the right moment, they carried out this mafia execution in a quiet neighborhood but where there are high-class people in Greece", explains the journalist in Euronews Albania.
Guri said that the name of the victim was also known to the Greek police as he was also a person implicated in mafia processes.
"The name of Irakli Davella is a name mentioned together with the criminal group, but since earlier there were not enough facts to arrest him.
At least the 3 people involved who have been mentioned in the Greek media for this case, were one of the most dangerous groups in Greece, or as they are otherwise called the 'Greek mafia'. The name of the 47-year-old was mentioned during the years 2008-2009 on an implication in a mafia trial. Davella was mentioned during this period but also other times in the future, there simply were not enough facts to arrest him", said Edmond Guri.
According to him, the victim may not have been directly implicated, but had a specific role.
