After the meeting of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, the organization for the protection of journalists "SafeJournalists" has denounced verbal violence and threats against journalists of various media while reporting at the blue headquarters.
According to the organization, this action was carried out by sympathizers of the former chairman of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha, while adding that the threats of militants hinder not only the flow of free journalism, but also the safety and well-being of those who serve on the front line of reporting news.
"Journalists Osman Stafa from News 24, Ardit Hoxha from EuroNews, Andon Kello from MCN, Ermal Rizai from Syri Tv and Isa Myzyraj from Ora News were not allowed to perform their duties. Individuals, suspected supporters of Mr. Lulzim Basha, former chairman of the Democratic Party, tried to take away their cameras and microphones, pushed the journalists, shouted, cursed and threatened them with physical violence and other insults if they continued to film and report," reports SafeJournalists .
