Journalist Artna Hoxha has spoken about the serious incident that happened yesterday in Velipoja, where Ardis Ishmi and Ersid Hoxha were killed with firearms.
Hoxha said that he was afraid of the revenge that could follow this event.
He explained that the tribal network in those areas is large and it is difficult to control their actions, therefore he called for things to be calmed down as much as possible, so that other extreme actions are not taken.
"22-year-old, 33-year-old human lives were lost. They are young ages. What I'm most afraid of there is not to add more fuel to the fire and to calm down as much as possible, because the tribal network there… goes into an expanding chain.
And if we enter into that terrible chain of revenge which no longer only hits the persons responsible, but also the people close to them. You can protect a family, but you cannot protect an entire tribe. You can't take an entire tribe to the test.
However, I said that we are in the first steps of the investigation and clarification of this event. First, to clearly understand what they were dealing with and how we ended up in this situation, and secondly, who are the persons responsible who allowed this situation to come to this point, with such serious consequences," Hoxha told Euronews.
