Journalist Artan Hoxha has given dates about the extradition to Albania of two crime figures, who for a long time lived normally in Dubai.
Plarent Dervishaj and Julian Meçaj, according to journalist Hoxha, did not come to Albania with an extradition measure, but were deported from Dubai after violating the rules of staying there.
According to Hoxha, they had a conflict with another member of the criminal groups in Albania, who also reported to the authorities in Dubai.
" At the end of July, there was a boxing match, which was widely advertised in the Albanian media, between an Albanian boxer and a foreign boxer. This match was held in an environment in Dubai where there was a very large participation of Albanians among them such characters who live there. In that activity, Albanians who had problems of their own have collided. It is about a character who is part of the capital's groups who previously knew Plarent Dervish and Julian Mece and then had a conflict with another member of the group. Apparently, there was a physical collision.
Dubai authorities have managed to confirm this against this citizen, who then went and filed a report. Because of this report, the Dubai police have verified the security cameras and found that the report was correct. They went to the villa where Plaurent Dervishi was staying and at first they told him that they are taking him so that there is no blow against him, they also made it clear that he violated the rules and therefore he would be repatriated. So he did not come with extradition measures, he and Julian Meçaj came because they violated the rules of staying in Dubai. Both have been with a regular residence permit in Dubai ", said Artan Hoxha in "Euronews Albania".
