One of the most well-known names in the criminal world, Durim Bami, has been extradited from Dubai and arrived in Tirana yesterday evening.
Journalist Artan Hoxha has explained the technicalities of his behavior in our country, considering the fact that there is no extradition agreement between the two countries and the fact that several other well-known characters are in Dubai. He added that Bami's file is special, as it is a unique case where one person is both a murderer and a victim. Hoxha emphasized that Durmi Bami has also been used by politics, as he highlighted one of the cases like that, Meta-Doshi.
"He was brought yesterday through Turkey, but it is not extradition, it is a technicality like a penetration. He has been imprisoned there for more than a year. Previously, he was detained in Dubai for extradition, where he stayed for 60 days. Meanwhile, after he was released, he had an obligation to appear, which he did not comply with. From that moment on, he was detained until yesterday. He fought a legal battle there where he lost on several levels. His return to Albania was also made with his consent, after he realized that the legal path he was following was not resulting in anything positive. Durim Bami is a very big name in the last 15 years. He is involved in many events. He is accused of being a structured group, he is lower than me, because I have the organization.
The recycling of his name has just started once again. The special thing is that Durim Bami is in a file that is both the perpetrator and the victim. I have never seen such a file.
