Former SPAK leader Altin Dumani is reported to have interviewed the leaders of the Çapja criminal group in prison, who said that journalist Elton Qyno wrote against them...
Journalist Elton Qyno, like few others, has won two battles against SPAK, battles which, according to the journalist, reflect an inexplicable personal grudge of prosecutor Altin Dumani against him. The first case consists of the seizure of journalist Elton Qyno's phones and other personal belongings by SPAK and GJKKO, after his publication on Skye Ecc of several communications between organized crime figures for the physical elimination of rivals. The decision of SPAK and GJKKO was overturned by the Constitutional Court.
The second issue consists of the involvement of journalist Elton Qyno as a member of Suel Çela's large criminal organization, with the claim that he deleted news in exchange for payment. This claim of SPAK and the GJKKO of first instance was rejected by the GJKKO Appeal and the Supreme Court, according to which journalist Elton Qyno had not committed any criminal offense, that the alleged criminal fact did not exist, therefore Qyno had not deleted any news in exchange for payment, that the journalist was not a media owner who had access to delete news and that the alleged corruption in the private sector did not exist.
Despite two decisions by the highest courts, former SPAK leader Altin Dumani has insisted on including journalist Elton Qyno in Suel Çela's group, taking the group to trial together.
Although the GJKKO Appeal and the Supreme Court say in black and white that Elton Qyno has not committed any illegal act, his name still appears in the SPAK announcement for the list of persons being sent for trial.
It seems almost unbelievable, but it turns out that Altin Dumani's 'evidence' against journalist Elton Qyno is two witnesses, Ardian and Florenc Çapja, the leaders of the Çapja criminal group in Elbasan, both sentenced to life imprisonment for a saga of crimes against life, including the murder of father and son, Gentian and Nezit Beqiri.
Former SPAK leader Altin Dumani is reported to have interviewed the leaders of the Çapja criminal group in prison, who said that journalist Elton Qyno had written against them.
The facts show that journalist Elton Qyno has reported on the activities of several criminal groups in Elbasan, Çapajt, Çelajt and Çopjat, evidence that refutes the claims of the duo Ardian and Florenc Çapajt.
However, in the preliminary hearings of the SPAK case at the GJKKO, journalist Elton Qyno seems to be facing not only Altin Duman, but also Ardian and Florenc Çapaj, who have at least 9 graves under their belts. And this is an extremely dangerous precedent for journalism in Albania, as hired killers with life sentences are being used to convict journalists. / Prapaskena /
