It is learned that unlike what he appeared in Wednesday's session where he attacked SPAK prosecutors, in high tones, Ilir Meta was calm inside the cell.
He has communicated normally with the prison staff, while he has not shown any problems with his health, nor with the place where he is being isolated. In the airing, Meta appeared alone in a separate environment due to his position as a person still under investigation.
According to what is provided in the internal regulation of the prison, Ilir Meta can stay in the surveillance room from 1 to 10 days. After all the procedures, health, dangerousness, but also the statuses he has held during his life in politics, Meta is expected to be placed in normal detention rooms, until the end of the judicial process against him.
It is learned that the only one who had communication with former President Ilir Meta was his defense lawyer.
We remind you that the former president Ilir Meta, currently the leader of the Freedom Party in the opposition, was arrested on Monday by order of SPAK for the criminal offenses of corruption, money laundering and non-declaration of assets.
Deputy Monika Kryemadhi, wife of Ilir Meta, with whom she is currently in the divorce process, is also under investigation for the same charges.
