Albanian criminals are sheltered in Dubai, the Ministry of Justice proposes an extradition agreement to the United Arab Emirates

The Ministry of Justice has submitted 3 draft agreements to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to forward to the United Arab Emirates related to extraditions.

Their goal is the extradition of convicts and wanted persons who take refuge in this country, with which Albania has no agreement.

The draft also foresees cooperation in other criminal areas. On the other hand, the sources are reserved to provide details about the specific names for which extradition is requested for the sake of Albanian justice.

After this phase, a position is expected from the United Arab Emirates regarding the request made by Albania.

We recall that a few days ago, Albania was visited by high-level officials of the Emirates government, where it was discussed about the areas of cooperation that can be created.
