The former mayor of Pogradec, Eduart Kapri, seems to have not settled his accounts with justice yet, even though he was declared innocent by the appeal of the GJKKO.
According to Top Channel, former mayor Kapri has been charged again and he has been accused of abuse of office in cooperation with two other employees of the municipality of Pogradec.
The investigation against the former official of the local government raises doubts about exceeding the extension of the term of a permit, for which from the deadline until 2015 it was signed until 2017.
The investigation of the former mayor comes not long after he was declared innocent by the Anticorruption Court of Appeal, together with subordinates investigated for violation of equality in tenders.
For this investigation, Eduart Kapri received two acquittals at both levels of the judiciary, along with a former director and a former coordinator, whom SPAK accused of a tender for firewood and of closing three schools approved as voting centers.
At that time, there was a financial investigation against Kapri, as well as against every official, which was closed without charges and without any suspicions against him. As SPAK confirms, from 2020 until now, 21 names of officials have been registered who are being processed for concealing wealth and not declaring it.
