Analyst Ilir Demaliaj commented on Prime Minister Edi Rama's statement at the meeting with immigrants in New York, where he said that the DP was "kidnapped" by the communists.
In a live link for the "Real Story" show, Demaliaj emphasized that PD never existed. According to him, our country is in the "vortex of post-communism with anti-communism of the Poroshian type".
" I still don't understand why Albanians don't call black black and white white. I am against what Rama said that Berisha stole the DP's most beautiful dream. No, because we already know that this party was not created by an underground movement, there was no public opposition. We all know, and if we study it with facts, all that part that took the opposition was political appointment of the Labor Party seeing the way things went in Eastern Europe. This party stole the true dream of political pluralism and democracy. On the other hand, would they be able to build a democratic political force if they were not there?
I think that here we are dealing with Albanian society that has never had a democratic spirit and democracy, nor has it had the rule of law. Without accepting the reality, we do not make the change. We still continue to hold the heroes of democracy for whom they were killed for smuggling oil and weapons in Kosovo. It is Berisha himself who has declared to RD that Azem Hajdari is a spy for the State security. So we come to our hypocrisy as a society that the other is dead and lie. PD did not exist, there was a spirit, but it came after all those events had happened, when young people who had courage and desire rebelled.
Berisha is a communist even today. As a society, we have left the village but we have not come down to the city, we speak in the mentality that if Gjergj Fishta gave water at the end of the spoon, he was a citizen. And secondly, let's say that we have overthrown communism, but in fact the vortex of post-communism with anti-communism of the Poroshian type ", said Demaliaj.
