The General Director of Prisons, Admir Abrija, has resigned from his post.

The resignation of Admir Abriaj from the post of Director of Prisons was announced a few days ago.

The resignation is expected to be submitted to the government meeting, while the reasons for this decision and who is expected to replace it are not yet known.

Abrija took over the management of the prisons at the proposal of the Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, in December 2021 after the release from office of Agim Ismaili.
