Kristjan Asllani is currently with Inter in Germany, where the black and blue team is preparing for the new season. However, the future of the Albanian midfielder remains unclear, as he is not part of coach Kristian Kivu's plans.
An interesting story has been circulating in recent days regarding Asllani's situation. According to transfer rumors, Inter are looking to sell the player before he plays his 100th match in the black and blue jersey.
Asllani moved to Inter in the summer of 2022 from Empoli, initially on loan with an obligation to buy. After the end of the first season, the Milanese club paid around 15 million euros for his card, while the deal also included performance-related bonuses.
One of these bonuses, according to reports, foresees Inter paying Empoli an additional 5 million euros when Asllani reaches the quota of 100 appearances with the team. Currently, the Albanian has 99 matches in the black and blue jersey.
If this contractual condition turns out to be true, then his activation in the next official match would force Inter to pay the €5 million bonus. This could also explain the club's insistence on leaving him during this transfer window, without giving him the opportunity to record his 100th appearance.
So far, the only confirmed fact is that Asllani is not part of coach Kivu's plans, while it remains to be seen whether the Albanian midfielder will find a new destination for next season.
