A citizen from Kavaja told "Stop" how his first marriage ended in disaster, after his wife died in the tragedy of Gërdec. He remarried and stayed married for 16 years.
The gentleman explains that he has two children, a 14-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy. One evening he returned home and found his wife cheating on him with his grandson.
The situation degenerated into violence and the woman denounced him for violence, which caused the citizen to go to prison.
"In 2021, I caught the lady cheating at home. The children were also there. Before I came home, the lady rang me on the phone, every now and then. I headed home. This (nephew) at this moment, without approaching the house, was coming by bicycle, 10:30, 11:00 at night. I hid. I followed him and he entered the house where I lived with my wife. At this moment the bedroom light came on. I inserted the key, the door opened. The moment the door opened, this gentleman came out of the bedroom and entered the shelf. I opened the shelf, I found the grandson gathered inside the clothes rack. I ended up in jail. He denounced me for violence and subjected me to violence in the family", said the informant.
The police officer at the Rinas police station, Kristjan Zmali, passed the lady without a power of attorney. After his father's alarm, he sought to close the case by sending a relative to give him money to withdraw the complaint. However, the agreement was not reached as the informant did not agree, but the police officer chose another path. This is what the mediator tells us.

Mediator: I don't know, for God's sake! I haven't asked him, nor do I plan to ask him about that kind of part. Since the 12th, he has finished work. He took the letter to the prosecutor's office. He has reported the service. That foreign man wants to clean up his image and that's why he came to Kavaja and said: "Open your mouth, as much as you want, I'll help you".
Complainant: How did I clean up my image when my child has been abroad for some time and he doesn't give me any kind of information?
Mediator: There is no information, that he has to give it, that he has nowhere to go without giving it. After information, he finishes work himself.
Complainant: As long as he put the stamp in his passport, he also went through without a power of attorney, as he did.
Mediator: Let him go to prison, because one thing will be done, because there is no way to keep him.
Complainant: How much money would he have given me if we had closed this business?
Mediator: If you had withdrawn your complaint, he would have given 2,000-3,000 euros, for sure.
"Stop" discovered that the lady in question went to Italy to seek asylum. The citizen went to inquire at the prosecutor's office and was told that the case is under investigation, so he should appear only when called.
Citizen: What happened to that gentleman who passed him?
Employee: Nothing has been done, because the case has passed to the prosecution. When the prosecutor calls you, you will come here! When you call the lady, she will come here. The Prosecutor's Office of Durrës comes only with a summons and a phone call. When the case comes to the prosecutor's office, it goes under investigation.
