One of the things that stood out yesterday from the statements of the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was the fact that he asked Albania to fight terrorist organizations, emphasizing "FETO".
Invited to the show "Log." in News24, historian Paskal Milo said that President Erdogan made it clear that Gülen and his investments must be fought in Albania as well.
"In my opinion, during the conversation with Erdogan, Edi Rama listened more than he reacted. Rama does not support Erdogan's position with the elimination of Gülen's investments in Albania, especially in the field of education. Movements cannot be penalized by administrative decisions of a political nature. This is an entirely internal matter that belongs to Turkey. The attempted coup in Turkey in 2016 had people killed and injured, but it is not up to the Albanian state to erect a monument to the victims of the coup. The victims were not killed in Albania, but in Turkey. Politics should not interfere in matters related to religious communities ," said Milo.
