Durim Bami, one of the characters of the world of crime, who is in Dubai and against whom there is an international arrest warrant issued by the Albanian authorities, is opposing extradition to Albania.
Journalist Edison Vatnikaj spoke on the Review show in Euronews Albania regarding the procedures for the extradition of Durim Bami from Dubai.
According to Vatnikaj, Bam's defense has presented to the court a long list of names, claiming that they are the individuals who, according to Bam, want to kill him, and this is one of the reasons for not extraditing him to Albania.
Vatnikaj added that Durim Bami has provided as evidence in the United Arab Emirates court a list of people who, according to him, pose a threat to his life.
The defense has also submitted intercepted material from the SKY ECC application, which is used for encrypted communications, to support its request not to be extradited to Albania.
"Durim Bami has presented a list of people who, according to him, want to kill him, as well as materials from the interceptions of SKY ECC, as evidence in order not to be extradited to the court in the United Arab Emirates," said the journalist.
