Tomorrow is expected to be very bad weather. The Ministry of Defense has updated the situation regarding the current state of roads, ports, river levels and reservoirs, as our country has been engulfed by rain and snow in the deep mountainous areas since Saturday midnight.
According to reports from the structures of the Civil Defense system at the National Operational Center for Civil Emergencies, the situation up to these moments is presented as follows:
Road axes
On the road axes Hani i Hotit-Tamarë, Tamarë-Vermosh and Bogë-Theth, snowfall continues with low intensity. The roads have been cleaned and salted. The circulation of the means is carried out without interruption.
On the field road axes: Lezhë-Shkodër-Hani i Hoti, Lezhë-Shëngjin, Ura e Buna - Muriqan, Ura e Kirit-Vau i Deja, work has been done to clean the canals and repair the signage. There were no problems in the circulation of vehicles.
In the mountain axis Pukë - Fushë-Arrëz - Kalimash, there was snowfall during the day. Field work groups have cleared the snow and salted this segment. The use of winter tires is recommended, but there were no problems in the circulation of vehicles.
On the road axes: Kukës - Krumë and the Kukës - Ura e Zapoti, Ura e Zapoti - Shishtavec axis, snowfall continues. Snow removal and salting are being worked on. The circulation is carried out normally, but the use of winter tires is recommended.
On the road axes of Tropoja, during the day, there was intermittent snowfall, but without problems in the circulation of vehicles. Work has been done on cleaning the roads and salting them.
All contractors are on standby with tools and manpower.
On the road axis Dushaj - Sheshi i Trageteve - Lekbibaj, the snowfall has continued with time interruptions and low intensity. Winter tires are recommended, but there were no problems in the circulation of vehicles.
In the road axes of the Tirana region, there was light rain, but without creating problems in the road traffic.
The road axes of the Gjirokastër district, in Llogara, Saranda, and the road axes of the Fier district, of Korça, are without problems.
Road users are recommended to drive at limited speed, respect road signs and use winter tires on snowy roads.
From the structures of the civil defense system at the central and local level, no problems have been reported in road traffic.

According to OSSH reports, teams are working to restore electricity as soon as possible in some rural and mountainous areas.

Based on the information sent by the Institute of Geosciences (IGJEO) and the Military Meteorological Service (SHMU), intense to locally very intense rainfall is expected on Sunday in the districts of: Vlorë and Gjirokastër, intense rainfall in the districts of Dibër, Durrës, Tirana and Korçë, moderate rainfall until locally intense in other counties.
Snowfall is expected to include the Northern, Northeastern and Southeastern areas of the territory at heights above 300 m above sea level. Snowfall, followed by a significant drop in temperatures and frost can create various problems and difficulties in road transport.
Rainfall is expected to be accompanied by thunderstorms in all districts. Torrential and high intensity of rainfall, for short moments, can create various problems as well as flooding in urban areas, depending on the sewage system in the districts of Shkodër, Lezhë, Durrës, Tirana, Elbasan, Fier, Vlorë and Gjirokastra.
Minimum and maximum air temperatures are expected to reach:
* on the coast: 4 / 14 °C;
* in low countries: 5 / 13 °C;
* in mountainous countries: -4 / 8 °C
The wind is expected to blow light to moderate, while on the coast to strong.
