According to an audit carried out in the agency headed by Adrian Koni, KLSH has highlighted some problems in this institution that administers blocked assets, created by criminal activity.
According to KLSH, the Agency for the Administration of Assets Seized and Confiscated from organized crime or corruption was managing properties worth nearly 140 million euros at the end of December last year.
However, non-inventory according to the requirements of the law, serious violations in the procedures for their sale, abuse of employee contracts and suspected nepotistic and corrupt employments have increased the risk of the alienation of these properties and their return to the possession of persons convicted by justice. .
According to the SSC, the lack of implementation of legal criteria, the lack of creation of a database regarding general information on all seized and confiscated properties, the lack of registration and monitoring of all seized and confiscated objects confiscated and leased, are a clear indication that the objectives of the creation of the system have not been achieved and therefore the level of risk in relation to the progress of work for the administration of seized and confiscated assets is high.
