Viola Prendi, the daughter of Gjovalin Prendi, who was executed by gunfire in Lezha, has spoken out about the tragic event. She says she is seeking justice for her cousins, brother and father.
"The perpetrators must be found, caught and given the deserved punishment ," said Viola Prendi, the victim's daughter.
The murder of 64-year-old Gjovalin Prendi on the evening of April 17 near his bar in Planë was the fourth loss for this family in 11 years. On February 19, 2014, Taulant Prendi and Klodian Ndreca were killed, 10 years later on May 9, Sidorel Prendi, 32, also known as Roan Brahimi, was executed in Athens, and on April 17, his father was executed, who, due to the escape of his nephews and son, waited for the state to find the perpetrators, who are still anonymous.
Regarding the conflicts, she states that everything started with a banal conflict, about a woman.
"I also spoke to my brother while he was alive... everything started from a banal conflict, about a woman," she said, adding that the people they think are responsible for the murders in their family have reported them to the police.
She further claims that her brother had no connections to criminal groups or was not involved in criminal events.
"My brother had no connection to the criminal world, to gangs. He was not an opponent of the Martinaj clan, we have no connection with the Martinajs. There was no rape of my brother by the Martinajs. My brother received a phone call, we were together, I don't remember the year, he revolted I don't know why, then he left but returned the same dinner. He wasn't even raped, nothing. My brother never mentioned them again ," she said to "TCH".
"It has been said that when the events happened 2 or 3 years ago, they said that we fled to Sidorel Prendi's apartment and we did not find him in the apartment. My brother has not been in Albania at all. I have not met Sid for four years, my brother left his family. From all the speculations that say he is a criminal, my brother left his family and fled on his own.
"Before he was killed, we spoke on the phone and he told me that he would come to Albania and solve everything because I had done nothing to anyone ," added the sister of Sidorel Prendit alias Roan Brahimi.
