Surprise and intensified checks in prisons have revealed new cases of possession of prohibited items, mainly mobile phones.

In the Fushë Krujë prison, during a search conducted in the outdoor premises, three mobile phones were found and seized. Meanwhile, in the Peqin Penitentiary Institution, following operational information, the forces of the Police Directorate conducted a search, where another mobile phone was found and seized.

According to the official announcement of the Prison Directorate, in both cases the relevant procedural actions were immediately taken, while the Internal Control Service of the Prison System was also notified of the continuation of the investigations.

Authorities emphasize that controls will continue without interruption, applying a "zero tolerance" policy towards any violation, with the aim of guaranteeing security and order in the penitentiary system.
