Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu, analyzing citizens' opinion on the impact that Trump's arrival may have on Albanian politics, said that the latter is not coming to power for the first time.
Spahiu emphasized that just like the first time the political class in Albania did not undergo any change, the same thing is expected to happen again.
Among other things, he mocked Berisha's expectations, saying that Trump would support him as much as he supported his first term.
" I think that not only Albanians are uninformed about everything Trump does. All of Europe is in a dilemma about how the US will behave with the EU, NATO, with Russia, the wars. The Balkans. I think that there is a significant percentage who can sense what the Trump administration will do with Albania. The disappointment of those who think that Trump will increase support, attack or stances towards Albanian leaders. Trump is not coming to power for the first time. I experienced some celebrations of some Albanian political leaders when he first came. They expected impact. The opposite happened. Then there were reasons why it could change. The Prime Minister then took a stance against Trump.
It was expected that Trump would take a critical stance, but it didn't happen. When Rama and the Socialist Party weathered the storm of the first term, I think there will be no other stance. We have the same actors. We have Trump, Berisha, Rama, Meta again. Yuri Kim and Palmer were Trump's confidants. If you remember what Kim and Palmer did to Rama and Berisha, the PD and Basha. Trump's two most trusted people were clear with the political forces in Albania. Palmer threatened the PD and the LSI if they don't stay the course that they will be called criminal organizations.
