A delegation from the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) is on an official visit to Kosovo.
The Albanian delegation, led by SPAK head Klodjan Braho, was received today, March 9, in a meeting by the Acting Chief State Prosecutor, Agron Qalaj, accompanied by prosecutors in the Office of the Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi, and Laura Pula, as well as by the Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution, Blerim Isufaj.
Chief Prosecutor Qalaj informed the delegation from Tirana about the functioning of the prosecutorial system, and in particular about the functioning of the State Prosecutor, about the organizational structure, about the competencies of the prosecutorial offices, as well as about the challenges that the prosecutorial system faces in realizing the mission of the rule of law.
During this meeting, the joint institutional commitment to strengthening the rule of law in both countries was reaffirmed, and discussions were held on increasing the level of cooperation, coordination and efficiency in the fight against crime in both countries.
