GJKKO accepted SPAK's request to tighten the security measure for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha regarding the privatization of the former Partizani complex.
Lawyer Spartak Ngjela has commented on this decision, calling it right. According to Njjela, he insulted the court by not appearing.
"Who is this who does not ask the court? Not even monarchs have behaved like this. Well done! Ignorant man without any state concept. He insulted the court. To defend himself in court. If GJKKO did not do it, the court would violate the law. How could the court break the law?!" , said Njjela.
Njjela gives two arguments why he was given house arrest with police.
"House arrest means confinement at home with police. This has two reasons. It does not allow him to continue so that he does not have a social life as the decision requires, but also protects him from trying to kill him. How do we know where Berisha's opponents are" , he added.
Further, lawyer Ngjela underlines that if he did not act by strengthening the security measure, SPAK would be violating the law itself, while he recalls that Berisha was abandoned because no one supports you if you are accused of corruption.
"Berisha is presumed innocent, but he is arrested for breaking the law, the fact that he refused to be questioned by the prosecutors can also be called delusional. He did not appear to the questions, what did SPAK do? If SPAK did not act like this, they would be breaking the law. This is the country, get used to it! If it was thought that it would make a revolution, this is a dream. I don't understand civil disobedience. I know obedience to the law. If there is disobedience to the law, he goes to prison. There was no popular support. No one will support you if you are accused of corruption" , said Ngjela on "Report TV".
