Analyst Lorenc Vangjeli has commented on the decision of the Council of Mandates today to remove the immunity of Sali Berisha to pave the way for him after his arrest by SPAK for the affair of the privatization of the Partizani complex.
Vangjeli said that Albanian politics lives in a bubble of lies and hypocrisy. He said that Berisha, like Basha in certain cases, tried to hide behind the procedures, this time from SPAK's investigations, describing them as set up by Rama.
"Today is a day of a lie and a great hypocrisy where all the actors involved in it are a part. The first in order is Berisha himself, the man who lives with the habit of lying, who in his confrontation with justice did not do what he should have done but chose to wear Lul Basha's dress and hide behind the proceedings. The lie about the essence of the matter, describing it as being fabricated by Edi Rama," said Vangjeli.
Furthermore, he said that part of the hypocrisy is also the socialist MPs who failed to create a kind of balance between the parliamentary and judicial powers. As for Alibeaj, he said that he does not understand what is happening but voted only to take revenge on Berisha.
"Knowing that Rama is at least in spirit the most zealous lawyer of Berisha in this case. Within such great hypocrisy is the group of socialists in the Council of Mandates who raised the card and said Berisha has no immunity. They did not have the strength and courage to share the relationship between powers, control and balance between them. It was not possible to ensure a balance between these powers. Enkelejd Alibeaj was also inside this bubble, part of a group unable to politically cope with the war within the species, he joined the socialists because he had in mind not only revenge against the former boss but because he does not understand what is happening. Within the same hypocrisy are hundreds of thousands of socialist voters, less Democratic voters and from the gray electorate. Socialists say the day has come to take him to prison, but this is not the way. The Democrats say we will go to the square to defend it, but they are lying too," he said.
The analyst further pointed out that Berisha was wrongly advised from the beginning when coercive measures were imposed on him and that he should have appeared at SPAK as requested. While speaking about SPAK's request and the measure that is expected to be taken against the former prime minister, Vangjeli said that it should not be "prison arrest" or "house arrest" but that the Special Prosecutor's Office should investigate everything about Berisha.
"SPAK is in its right,. Berisha avoided the request of the prosecutors and they had an obligation to do this. Badly advised at the beginning of the time, Berisha trying to fit Lulzim Basha's old-fashioned dress for his body brought the matter to this point. Likewise, Rama is currently outside this bubble of lies and hypocrisy. Because if it is true that he is a reformer of justice reform, he will have to confess as such. Which means even for his fiercest opponent, whose name is Sali Berisha, the Assembly should leave every possible space for the investigation of everything, but not prison or house arrest," the analyst added. in "Report TV".
