The 7 millionth passenger of the year at the international airport of Tirana flew on the first trip from Tirana to Prague.

On December 18, 2023, Tirana – Wizz Air, the leading airline in Albania and the most environmentally sustainable airline worldwide, has expanded its network of destinations by announcing the opening of two new routes connecting the vibrant city of Tirana with the two fascinating cities of Prague , in the Czech Republic and Krakow in Poland. Flights connecting Tirana with Prague and Krakow will operate three times a week, throughout the year, including Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Flights to these two cities started on December 18, 2023, and were accompanied by an exclusive festive activity held at Tirana International Airport (TIA).

This important event not only marked the inauguration of two new lines, but also recognized a historical moment for the airport - the achievement of 7 million passengers who have flown through Tirana International Airport within this year. The 7 millionth passenger, who was traveling on the first flight from Tirana to Prague, was presented with a voucher from Wizz Air. This collaboration between Wizz Air and Tirana International Airport has played a key role in connecting passengers with international cities. During this festive activity, representatives of Wizz Air and Tirana International Airport expressed their enthusiasm for the inauguration of these two new lines and the achievement of this historic moment.
