The demolition campaign for illegal constructions in Theth is expected to conclude today. Only two buildings remain, which have been given until 6:00 PM to be voluntarily dismantled by their owners.
This week-long operation has led to the demolition of around 70 illegal structures in the protected area of Theth. After the completion of today's interventions, state structures are expected to withdraw from the territory of the national park.
During the action, there were clashes between residents and police officers and IKMT groups, who opposed the demolition of the buildings.
"We are on our land here, we have been here for years. We want to talk to someone who is in charge, we have nothing to do with you, you are police officers," the residents said.
"We are not people against the law, we just need someone to lead, who is IKMT so we can talk to them, that's what we are asking for," said another.
