Analyst Alban Daci commented on the statements of the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, regarding the enemies within the Freedom Party.
In his appearances, Meta has promised to cleanse his party of nepotism. What has been noticed is that his political relations with Monika Kryemadhi have cooled.
Daci added that Meta must give clear signals to the electorate that it is different and the reasons why they should vote for it.
"In the Albanian reality, parties have turned into private evidence and family assets. This should alarm citizens and Albanians. If a "divorce" is happening, I don't know. But he must give clear signals to the electorate to believe or vote that Mr. Meta is different. By changing the name of the Freedom Party, we are dealing with two different entities, and PL is taking on connotations as a populist political force. While the Party of the Socialist Movement for Integration was a party of the left session. I think that there cannot be a real "catharsis", as it would be, only if Mrs. Kryemadhi, together with others, had opposed the return of Mr. Meta", said Daci.
He also emphasized that virtually the entire political class has problems with SPAK. So the problem is not SPAK, but the way the policy has operated.
"Meta has had important commitments in Albania, but any approach of his should be an approach that should concern us. Meta's problem is not how he will name the party, but the fact how coherent he will be and how much he will convince the Albanians why they should vote for him. The greatest absurdity of leaders is that usually when someone becomes president of the Republic, he ends his career as president, but in Albania the opposite happens", said Daci further.
