The Secretary for Public Relations in the DP, Edvin Kulluri, describes the resolution approved by the Socialist Party as meaningless.
According to Kulluri, corruption is fought in two ways and in both cases there is no need to invite the opposition to vote for something beyond it.
He stated that the SP should support publicly and with concrete acts through the instruments available to SPAK, GJKKO, the General Prosecutor's Office, etc.
"There are two ways to fight corruption. The first is the justice system that investigates and prosecutes him. Prosecutors' offices and courts do this. The second is the government itself through reforms, its own institutions and political will.
In the first case, the justice system is independent in exercising justice. SPAK is doing this itself. In the second case, the government and its leaders have in their hands to prevent and attack corruption within the executive institutions.
Therefore, the resolution proposed by the SP is completely meaningless. In both cases, the opposition does not have to be invited to vote for something beyond it. It should not stick its nose in the affairs of the prosecutor's offices and the courts, nor can it affect the affairs of the government.
The SP remains to support publicly and with concrete acts through the instruments at its disposal, SPAK and the general prosecutor's office and the courts of first and second instance. What they do half-heartedly, since they have not brought any high-ranking socialist official for investigation, as Dumani himself said. While the opposition publicly denounces the cases it finds by sending criminal charges and setting up investigative commissions in the parliament.
Any other movement like this of the resolution is 5-lek propaganda!", said Kulluri for "News 24".
