Former prosecutor Besnik Muçi commented on Prime Minister Edi Rama's request for legal changes, according to which the measure of suspension from duty cannot be exercised for some senior officials.

According to Muçi, before 2012, investigations could not be conducted against a deputy without surrendering his mandate. He said that we are going back to that time. Muçi stated that the law could be passed in parliament very soon.

" By voting 4:4, the Constitutional Court did not issue a decision regarding the suspension of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku. Now what does the government want? I want to say that the President and the member of the Constitutional Court are not responsible for their constitutional functions, nor the president in his functions, a privilege that ministers do not have. Rama wants to make a broad protection of high state functions. Before 2012, investigations could not be carried out against the deputy, without handing over the mandate, while today investigative actions are carried out. Before 2012, the minister could not be investigated. At that time, the minister could not be investigated.

Immunity is being restored for members of the government before 2012. The law could pass very quickly, as early as the day after tomorrow. It is a measure that the prime minister has taken for himself and his members of the government. For the suspension of a government official, Kosovo has sought international opinion and the Venice Commission says that the suspension of a public function does not cause any problems. We will have serious problems in the Council of Europe as well, if changes are approved in the Criminal Procedure Code. SPAK has done the maximum it can do in the Balluk case. The evidence is being damaged in this case , "Muçi declared in "Klan".

The Socialist Party convened today, February 16, the parliamentary group where it proposed the initiative for legal amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code. The proposal bears the signatures of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the chairman of the Laws Committee, Ulsi Manja, and the chairman of the SP group, Taulant Balla.

According to the proposal, seven new subjects are added to whom the security measure of suspension of office cannot be extended. These are the President, the Ombudsman, the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, ministers, members of the Constitutional Court and the President of the Supreme State Audit Office.

Edi Rama ka hallin e menderes së vetë dhe të bashkëpuntorëve. Ku pyet ai se çfarë ka vendos Komisioni i Venecias. Ai kujton se do ta shtyjë kohën pas.
