The Ministry of Defense has provided details regarding the situation on national highways due to bad weather and frost in several cities in the country.
It is learned that the national axes in our country are passable but there are still problematic areas. Problematic areas regarding roads are still in Dibër, Bulqizë, Klos, Mat, Krujë, Fushë-Arrëz, Pogradec, Has, etc.
In all of these mentioned areas, there are villages and rural roads that still remain blocked due to the heavy snow that has fallen in the last 48 hours.
The Ministry of Defense also warns that despite no precipitation expected today, temperatures are expected to drop to -11 degrees Celsius.

Weather situation in the country. Based on the information sent to the National Civil Protection Agency by the structures of the Civil Protection system at the central and local levels, the situation until the early hours of the day appears relatively calm, compared to the days we left behind.
According to reports from the Albanian Road Authority, today all national axes are passable. In the municipality of Dibër there are problems on rural roads in several villages of the units of Maqellare, Melan, Luzni, Muhurr. Work is underway to open the roads that connect the administrative unit of Kala e Dodës with the villages of Sllovë, Selishtë and Arras.
In the municipality of Bulqizë: Rural roads of the administrative units of Ostren, Trebisht, Klenjë, Gjoricë, Zerqan and the Trebisht-border crossing point road axis are blocked.
In the municipality of Klos: the roads of the villages with the administrative centers of Gura and Xibar are blocked.
In the Mat municipality, 2 villages in the Komsi administrative unit and the Vig Macukull road axis are blocked.
In the municipality of Kruja, work continues on opening the road connecting the village of Shkretë with the Cudhi-Qafështamë axis.
In the Fushë-Arrëz municipality, the road to the Iballë administrative unit and its villages continues to be blocked. In the Devoll municipality, work continues to open connecting roads to the Miras villages.
In the Pogradec municipality, work is underway to open the roads of the villages of Proptisht, Velçan, Trebinje, Dardhas and Çërrava.
In the Has municipality, work is underway to open the road that connects the administrative unit of Arra with the national road and the roads of the villages of Cahan and Xhebexhi.
The Armed Forces have been continuing their commitment to normalizing the situation in Vlora for three days now, with 7 suction pumps and 15 high-traffic vehicles, excavators, dump trucks, etc.
According to the weather forecast, there will be no rain or snow in the entire country in the coming days. Temperatures will continue to drop, reaching -11 degrees Celsius in the north of the country.
All capacities at the central and local levels of the civil protection system are on full alert to cope with any situation that may be caused by weather conditions.
