The problematic situation created by the weather with heavy snowfall in the villages of Librazhd and Përrenja municipalities seems to have calmed down significantly.
Almost all rural roads that were blocked by snow, the thickness of which in some villages reached more than 40 cm, have been opened and electricity has been restored after 02:00 this weekend. The sub-prefect of the Librazhd District, Josif Laska, considers the situation recently created by the bad weather to be one of the most difficult during this winter.
Despite the numerous problems created in almost the entire territory of the Librazhd District municipalities, the created emergency situation was successfully managed and faced. In all the blocked road segments, work was done with strength and numerous tools to open the roads and salt them to restore normality and increase the level of safety in vehicle traffic.
Even in the towns of Librazhd and Përrenjas where it snowed, measures were taken to avoid problems.
After the intervention in the field, it has become possible to restore electricity. Meanwhile, even in the mountain villages of Elbasan and Gramsh municipalities, the roads are almost open and electricity is missing in very few neighborhoods.
