The Transparency Board has again changed the trading prices of oil and gasoline in the country.
While the price of oil per barrel has fallen below $100 on the stock exchange, the Transparency Board in Albania has continued to increase fuel prices.
In the decision taken today, diesel will increase by 3 lek and from today at 16:00 will be sold for 210 lek per liter. Gasoline will increase by 2 lek and will be sold for 176 lek/liter.
The same decision stipulates that the wholesale price for diesel should not exceed 198 lek/liter, while for gasoline 164 lek/liter.
The new prices come into effect as of 4:00 PM today and will remain unchanged until the next Board meeting, where further developments in the market are expected to be reflected.
Meanwhile, oil prices on stock exchanges have fallen, while expectations are growing for a lasting ceasefire to be reached between the United States and Iran, as part of a new phase of talks expected to take place in Pakistan.
However, the situation remains unclear, as the Strait of Hormuz continues to be blocked, keeping international markets under pressure.
In recent market developments, Brent crude oil registered a 4.7% increase on Thursday, approaching the $98 per barrel level, while West Texas Intermediate traded near $94 per barrel.
