On the eve of the summit to be held on February 28 in Tirana, Zelensky reacts: We appreciate Albania's support to Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, on the eve of the summit that will take place in Tirana on February 28-29, has thanked Albania for its solidarity with Ukraine.
Through a post on the "Facebook" social network, he also thanked President Bajram Begaj for the solidarity shown in support of Ukraine.
" Thank you for your kind words and steadfast solidarity with Ukraine, Bajram Begaj. We appreciate Albania's support and look forward to securing a peaceful European future for both our countries and Europe as a whole ," Zelensky wrote on X, while sharing Begaj's post.
Meanwhile, yesterday Begaj, on the occasion of marking the two-year anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine war, expressed Albania's support and solidarity towards Kiev.
" Two years after Russia's unprovoked and unjust military aggression against Ukraine, we stand in awe of the courageous struggle of the Ukrainian people for freedom, dignity and sovereignty. We remain steadfast allies of Ukraine, defending together these universal principles ", the Albanian president wrote in X.
