Kreshnik lawyer Spahiu, commenting on the protest called by the opposition the next day in front of the Prime Minister, declared that Rama can stay in power for another 20 years if the rallies last 20 minutes.
In an interview for the "Report TV" show, the lawyer Spahiu stated that the facts of 30 years have shown that no government has been overthrown by protests.
" Rama stays in power for another 20 years if the opposition protest lasts 20 minutes and the next day they go to the beach. I have a logic based on facts and statistics that makes me believe that at least in the last 30 years, no government has been overthrown due to party protests ", said Spahiu.
Spahiu says that a failed protest does not weaken the regime, while emphasizing that the opposition is the "champion" of rallies, but when it faces elections, this does not translate into votes.
" Protests which are considered outdoor press conferences, where 20 people come out and speak on the boulevard and start as a protest. This happens only in Albania. All over the planet the protests have a different philosophy, it is a popular revolt. Outdoor press conferences can be held in gardens, boulevards, but these do not bring down the political regime. The opposition is the champion of the rallies, but on election day it is not converted into votes. A failed protest serves the political regime, it does not weaken it" , said Spahiu.
