The construction of a processing line has increased the price of industrial apples and has caused farmers to no longer throw their products into the canals.
If until a year ago a kilogram of industrial apples was sold for 3-5 lek, today the price ranges from 12 to 15 lek.
Petrit Hajderlliu tells "Euronews Albania" that he has invested in building a line for processing apple juice, a processing that mostly goes for export.
"Foreigners are very satisfied, we are satisfied too. Exports are made in the region," he said.
This year, unlike other years, industrial apples are being exported more, which has made farmers satisfied with the price offered.
During 2024, 3,783 tons of industrial apples were exported from the Korça region, while during these days alone another 619 tons were exported to countries in the region.
