Almost all regions of the country are at risk of flooding due to rapid flooding of small mountain rivers and landslides. The alert is given by the Institute of Geosciences (IGJEO) in its forecast regarding the weather situation in Albania.
According to IGJEO, the regions at risk are: Shkodër, Kukës, Dibër, Lezhë, Durrës, Tirana, Elbasan, Fier, Vlora and Gjirokastër.
In urban areas, localized flooding problems may occur in these districts, depending on the condition of the sewers.
According to IGJEO's hydrological calculations, as a result of the high-intensity rainfall, an increase in flows and levels in all rivers is expected.

The Ishëm, Erzen, Mat, and Vjosa rivers will be at increased risk of local flooding.
The Drin-Buna River and Lake Shkodra will experience increased flows and levels and the risk of increased flooded areas in the Nënshkodra area.
Furthermore, IGJEO predicts that during today's snowfall is expected to include areas in the North, East and South East of the territory. As a result of snowfall and low temperatures, frosts may create various problems and difficulties in road transport.
Minimum and maximum air temperatures are expected to reach:
on the coast: 9 / 10 °C
in lowlands: 8 / 9 °C
in mountainous areas: -2 / 0 °C
