But what is the SKY app?
"SKY ECC" is the application where people involved in the world of crime talk about organizing traffic, ordering murders and everything else about their criminal activity.
The decryption of SKY has led to the arrests of important names in the underworld. The app was dismantled and shut down in 2021 by a Europol operation. To download and use it, you had to have a special phone.
SKY is also used massively by Albanians. Recently, from the discovery of the communications they had made in SKY and ENCO, SPAK undertook a mega-operation called "Metamorfoza", where they arrested the businessman Pëllumb Gjoka, the former chief of operations Oltion Bistri, the prosecutor of Kukës Xhevahir Lita and three others. 9 other people are also being sought.
The extraction of data from the French investigators of the file of the "Bajri" group and their transfer to Albania revealed the role of Ervis Martinaj and the businessman Pëllumb Gjoka in ordering the murder of Gjin Ndoji for 110 thousand euros. The head of police operations, Oltion Bistri, was communicating with Ervis Martinaj, informing him about the operations, while prosecutor Xhevahir Lita was closing the files.
Given that 16 thousand Albanians are subscribers to this application and their messages are being generated, it is expected that there will be other arrests of important names.
