The cessation of snowfall in the southeast of the country was followed by a significant drop in temperatures.
In rural areas, the snow thickness has reached up to 50 cm, while in urban areas up to 15 cm. The thermometer recorded the lowest values in Darda, with -12 degrees Celsius.
The national roads of the district are open and passable normally for vehicles, while the Korçë-Dardha axis is circulated only with chains.
Strong wind and frost remain a problem this Sunday.
Heavy snowfall isolated several villages in the mountainous areas of the municipality of Pogradec, Korca and Kolonje, which have not been supplied with electricity since Saturday.
The roads of the villages remain inaccessible due to the high intensity of the snow, where in some areas the thickness has reached up to 1 meter.
