The authorities are continuing the investigation to clarify the causes of the death of an elderly man inside the Ashraf camp, which the police said was not related to the police intervention.
According to TCH, it was learned that the person who died inside Camp Ashraf 3 earlier was hospitalized due to cardiac problems. From the preliminary data, the doctors have concluded that the dead body has no injuries and the death may have come from cardiac arrest. The final answer is expected to come out weeks later, after the results of the forensic analysis.
The dead body was transported yesterday evening to the capital's morgue, where it was subjected to autopsy and forensic analysis. The footage taken by the police is also being verified to identify other people who have committed violent acts against the police.
On the other hand, the Police Oversight Agency has launched an investigation to verify whether the actions of the police were in accordance with the law while respecting the ethics and rights of Iranian citizens during the intervention. Due to the opposition of the police forces who were implementing a court decision, 15 police officers were injured and several vehicles were damaged.
