SPAK has ordered the seizure of several assets worth 12 million euros, suspected of deriving from criminal activity.
The GJKKO has approved SPAK's request for the seizure of these assets located in Durrës. These are investigations launched within the framework of Operation 'Ura'. The assets are land and buildings owned by individuals and companies. According to SPAK, the assets are in the names of Juxhin Draxhi and Ervin Zeqiri.
About two weeks ago, SPAK announced the finalization of a large-scale operation against international drug trafficking and the laundering of the proceeds of criminal activity.
The operation resulted in 52 personal security measures, namely:
29 security measures imposed by the Special Court for members of criminal groups operating in Albania;
1 detention order issued by the Special Prosecution Office;
22 security measures imposed by the Court of Bari in Italy.
According to SPAK, 40 Albanian citizens and 12 Italian citizens have been prosecuted, involved in three organized criminal groups – one based in Durrës and two others in the Puglia region, Italy.
During investigations conducted in the period 2020–2025, 40 episodes of drug trafficking were documented, including the seizure of significant quantities of heroin and cocaine in Albania, Italy and other European countries. One of the episodes involved the transport of 255 kg of heroin and cocaine to Bari, via international couriers.
Two weeks ago, SPAK announced the seizure of assets in both countries, which included: 2 construction companies, 4 trading companies and restaurants, 1 real estate agency, 1 cable TV, luxury vehicles, cash, etc.

Seizure of assets for persons involved in drug trafficking and money laundering in Italy and Albania
The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, within the framework of the investigations for criminal proceedings no. 36 of 2019*, registered property proceedings no. 10/2025 and submitted to the Special Court the request for the seizure of certain assets suspected of having been benefited from criminal activity.
The Court against Corruption and Organized Crime, with decision no. 36 of 20.05.2025, ordered the seizure of several assets related to the persons under investigation, involved in criminal activities. This decision was executed on 21.05.2025.
After this, the Special Prosecution Office continued intensive investigations and discovered other assets related to the subjects under investigation. Through decision no. 39 dated 20.06.2025, the Special Court accepted the request of the Special Prosecution Office and decided to seize them. The decision was implemented by the financial investigators of the Special Prosecution Office and the General Directorate of the State Police on 27.06.2025. These assets were taken under the administration of the Agency for the Administration of Sequestered and Confiscated Assets at the Ministry of Interior.
The seized assets are located in the city of Durrës and include:
Immovable property of the type of land with an area of 282.5 m2 and a building with an area of 248 m2, which is owned by citizens EZ in ½ part and KJ in ½ part (property related to the subject of property proceedings EZ), located in Durrës.
Property of the building type, with a surface area of 257.63 m2, owned by the company "Majestic Konstruksion" sh.pk (with partner citizen N.SH., a person related to the subject of the property proceeding JD), Durrës;
Property of the unit type, with a surface area of 291 m2, owned by the company "Majestic Konstruksion" sh.pk, Durrës;

Property located in Durrës, Currila, of the type of land with a surface area of 617.6 m2, of which 54.52 m2 is a building, owned by citizens BD and DD, persons related (family) to the subject of the property proceeding ED;
Property located in Durrës, Currila, of the type of land with a surface area of 87 m2, and a building of 52 m2, owned by citizens BD and DD, persons related (family) to the subject of the property proceeding ED;
The investigations were carried out within the framework of a joint investigative team between SPAK, the Bari Prosecutor's Office, the Anti-Mafia Directorate, with the support of Eurojust.
Criminal proceedings no. 36/2019 have been registered for the criminal offenses: "Drug trafficking", committed in the special form of cooperation, that of a structured criminal group, "Structured criminal group", "Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization or a structured criminal group" and "Laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity", offenses provided for by articles 283/a, 28/4, 333/a, 334 and 287 of the Criminal Code, assets suspected of being created from the criminal activity of drug trafficking have been identified.
Property proceeding No. 10/2025 was registered with the aim of verifying the assets of the subjects of criminal proceedings and persons associated with them, a total of 52 persons (30 in Albania and 22 in Italy), who were previously ordered to take personal security measures in both countries.
The seized assets are estimated at approximately 12 million euros.
